PYROFIL About me My name is Tom Léon Martin , circus artist and fire artist, known by my stage name PYRØFIL . The circus has been a part of my life since childhood. I started practicing circus arts at the age of 8 , within a troupe, where I discovered a world of freedom, self-improvement, and creativity. Very quickly, the circus became much more than a practice: a language , a way of expressing myself and existing . Over the years, I explored many disciplines: juggling , diabolo , acrobatics , balance … until two major areas naturally presented themselves to me: balancing and fire . Slacklining , straps, and cables taught me precision, body awareness, and movement control, while fire awakened a deep, almost instinctive fascination within me. Fire has become a true artistic obsession . Its power, its fragility, its untamed and vibrant nature resonate with my relationship to the stage. This is how PYRØFIL was born, a name stemming from the meeting of two passions that converge in the same stage space: fire juggling and balance, particularly on slacklines. PYRØFIL is also the expression of an adoration of fire, of an intimate link with this raw, ancestral and symbolic element. For over 5 years, I have practiced fire juggling intensively and professionally: staff, mini-staff, contact staff, full staff , as well as fire breathing. Each performance is conceived as a ritual, a dance, a dialogue between the body and the flame. For the past two years, I have been part of the Les Griffes du Temps artists' association, an important step in my journey. This experience allowed me to nurture my collective artistic approach while affirming my personal identity. It was in this same spirit that I began to compose a solo show, designed to be presented professionally, combining fire, balance and visual storytelling. Alongside performing, teaching is playing an increasingly central role in my journey. I've already had the opportunity to teach circus arts at events and in private lessons, including slacklining, fire, and other circus disciplines. For me, teaching is about keeping the flame alive: sharing knowledge, inspiring vocations, and building connections through powerful artistic practices. Today, PYRØFIL is at once an artistic project , a stage identity and a vision : that of a living, raw, poetic and fiery circus, where balance and fire respond to each other to tell a story, provoke an emotion and leave a lasting impression.
